bubbl.us
website: https://bubbl.us/ PRICING: Limited free account. TUTORIAL OVERVIEW: OK, so I didn't watch the tutorial, and it doesn't look very difficult, but it's not as intuitive as I would like it to be. Hopefully, I can make the text smaller, but in the 5 minutes I worked with it, I couldn't find a way. I can change the color, bubble size, etc. I admittedly biased against sites that have me searching for help in the first 5 minutes. |
GLIFFY
website: gliffy.com PRICING: Limited free account. TUTORIAL OVERVIEW: Gliffy is an odd one. On one hand I like it, on the other not so much. That isn't very helpful now, is it? I'm not sure I would set inexperienced users jump right in. |
PADLET
website: padlet.com PRICING: Free version. TUTORIAL OVERVIEW: Padlet is basically an online interactive bulletin board. It's not something I would use. There are better options for this type of tool. However, I have seen it used successfully. Give it a shot. |
POPPLET
website:: http://popplet.com PRICING: TUTORIAL OVERVIEW: POPPLET has been welcoming back for about 10 minutes. I constant spinning wheel of welcome. I've heard good things, but for now I'm stuck at the welcome mat. One day, POPPLET, one day. ADDENDUM: I starting to hate POPPLET. Now I'm banging on the door.. |
SPICYNODES
website: http://www.spicynodes.org/ PRICING: Free account available. TUTORIAL OVERVIEW: I like this one very much. It is part graphic organizer, part presentation tool. Students and teachers can use this, but to this point, I have been exploring this as a presentation or virtual organizer for students. The end product can be embedded into a website, wiki, blog, etc. or shared via a direct link. And let's not forgot it's spicy. Like George Costanza, I like my chicken spicy. |
