So, if you have bad feelings towards Bill Gates or don't like the other web-based options, you might give this one a try. It's a clean layout. The only problems should be for inexperienced users of PowerPoint. EDMODO (Go GREEN)
website: http://edmodo.com Type: Educational Social Network View Tutorial Mobile App: Yes Free Version/Plan: Yes Pros: Familiar interface. Includes educational friendly functions: quizzes, polls, assignments, and file storage. Cons: Facebook is not so popular with the kids today. Beginning users may have issues controlling the flow of messages. And for me, it's just too much work to filter through all of the stuff because it doesn't allow a "sticky" post (one that will remain at the top of the page). FAKEBOOK

ISSUES
1. PRIVACY Most applications require the creation of an account and the use of an email. ( WCPSS does create student e-mail accounts.) Be sure to look for an educational version of the site. Many sites have this option. Most sites have a private/public option. Try to keep students in the private mode. 2. BROWSER ISSUES More and more applications are requesting an updated or a different browser. I usually have 3 open at one time. WHAT IS...

Think of it as a syndication tool. Definitely search around the web for a more accurate explanation.
